Easy Vegetarian Chili - Original Recipe

Servings:  3 Large Bowls or 4 Medium Bowls
Preparation time:  Under 10 minutes
This is not a LOW sodium meal!  If you can find low sodium versions of the above products or similar products then use them!!

  • 1 16 oz. can Bush's Best Chili Beans (Pinto Beans in Chili Sauce - Mild Sauce)
  • 1 14.5 oz. can Hunt's Fire Roasted Diced 100% Natural Tomatoes
  • 1 10 oz. can RO*TEL Original Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilis
Mix ingredients of all three cans above in large pot.  Add the following ingredients:*

  • 1 tsp. Tajin Classico Seasoning (Walmart)
  • 1 tsp. McCormick's Hot Mexican Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp. McCormick's Chili with Lime Powder
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 2 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 TBSN light agave syrup or 1 TBSN honey (cuts down that acidic bite of the chili)
  • *NOTE: If you don't have the first 3 ingredients add 1 TBSN regular chili powder
Mix spices and herbs into the chili mix in the pot & heat to hot or medium hot so cheese will melt when placed on chili.

Serve hot in a bowl with sides of:
  • chopped red onions or white onions or green onions
  • sour cream or low fat sour cream or Greek plain yoghurt or low-fat plain yoghurt
  • Wholly Guacamole individual serving packs or bowl of Wholly Guacamole ready made sauce
  • grated sharp cheddar cheese (pkg. already grated)
  • sliced jarred jalapenos, optional
  • Tostitos Hint of Lime Chips or other tortilla chips
Serve with your favorite beer (not wheat or flavored beer) or Michelob Ultra Light Cider (gluten free) or your favorite chili beverage!!
