AMERICAN: THANKSGIVING: The Five Worst Thanksgiving Dishes

The Five Worst Thanksgiving Dishes

AMERICAN: Green Bean Casserole 1 - POLL: First Ad this year!! Here we go again!! Holidays are coming up and the green bean casserole is 62 Years old!

This casserole excludes the cream of mushroom soup and uses bacon and cheddar.

HISTORY: (according to wiki)
The green bean casserole was first created in 1955 by the Campbell Soup Company. Dorcas Reilly led the team that created the recipe while working as a staff member in the home economics department. The inspiration for the dish was "to create a quick and easy recipe around two things most Americans always had on hand in the 1950s: green beans and Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup."
In the 1972 version of the Good Housekeeping Cookbook the recipe replaced the creamy mushroom soup with sour cream.
In 2002, Reilly presented the original recipe card to the National Inventors Hall of Fame in Akron, Ohio.

ITALIAN - TUSCAN - Extra Virgin does romance and tiramisu - also recipe for Spaghetti alla Puttanesca

Romance and Tiramisu

With the family settling in to life in Tuscany and the vow renewal ceremony just a few days away, Debi and Gabriele make plans for bachelor and bachelorette parties. Debi spends some quality time with her mother-in-law, Anna Lisa, making her own tiramisu recipe. Everyone at the bachelorette party enjoys the delicious homemade tiramisu and toasts to Debi. Meanwhile, Gabriele cooks up a feast at his best friend Patrizio's Florence apartment. Gabriele's guests join them for a dinner of octopus salad and spaghetti w/ anchovies, garlic, tomato, capers and olives (Spaghetti alla Puttanesca). At the end of their evening, Debi and Gabriele reunite for a romantic evening in the place where they first met, and enjoy Debi's homemade tiramisu.

This is not a revelation.  Just different opinions!

Mario Batali #14 out of 14
Rao's Homemade #1 (available at Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. )
Author's note:  I haven't had Rao's and will try.

Hunt's Homeade #20 out of 20
Giada Laurentis #1 (available at Target, etc.)

Prego #5 out of 5 (available anywhere)
Author's note:  about Prego (I grew up in a community that included many Italian immigrants and spaghetti sauce is NOT, I REPEAT, IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE SWEET)

Classico Traditional Sweet Basil #1 (Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.)

Author's note:  My favorite but will hold on that thought until I try Lidia's and Rao's.

Hunt's #10 of 10
Rao's Homemade #1 (Walmart, Amazon, Classico, etc.)

Author's note:  Lidia's Marinara and Tomato Basil Spaghetti Sauces are rated well on the many sites I visited and are  available at Walmart, Amazon, Jet, etc.  I have eaten at her restaurant in Pittsburgh and the food has been DELISH so I'll have to try.

Author's Note:  I have included Amazon a lot because if you are a Prime member for $100 a year you get a better price on Prime Products and pay shipping.  I have saved $400+ minus the $100 fee = $300+.

I also have included Walmart where the prices are often better.
