I read a poll that people actually DON'T LIKE, YES, DON'T LIKE THE 

MUMMIFIED GREEN BEAN, MUSHROOM SOUP AND FRIED ONION RINGS CASSEROLE!

A poll was taken in 2016 and when people answered ANONYMOUSLY 
negative 71 to positive 29% that they 

• didn't like the casserole

• hated the casserole

• said they liked it to a family member to not hurt feelings

• made it and hated it but it was so darn easy

• made it because thought they were supposed to

• made it because they were asked to

HISTORY: (according to wiki)

The green bean casserole was first created in 1955 by the Campbell Soup Company. Dorcas Reilly led the team that created the recipe while working as a staff member in the home economics department. The inspiration for the dish was "to create a quick and easy recipe around two things most Americans always had on hand in the 1950s: green beans and Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup."

In the 1972 version of the Good Housekeeping Cookbook the recipe replaced the creamy mushroom soup with sour cream.

In 2002, Reilly presented the original recipe card to the National Inventors Hall of Fame in Akron, Ohio.
