- Settled in Pittsburgh lower Homestead area
- Families in area took in boarders
- They were referred to as "Hunkies"
- Millworkers, train loaders and worked in cinder pits
- Hard workers
- Roman Catholic & some Orthodox
- Straka's Bar (Ann Street now)
