PART TWO:  What do they eat in Hamburg?

Hamburg cooking is known for its seafood dishes. Various types of fish, crab, herring, lobster, and eel are among the favorites.

NOTE:  Typical seasonings used in Hamburg cooking include cayenne pepper, anise, paprika, cumin, bay leaves, cloves, saffron, curry powder, nutmeg, pepper, juniper berries, cardamom, allspice, and cinnamon. 

Due to immigration, cuisines Germany and other European countries are evolving.

Above, see Hamburg in Green and in SW Germany there is an area called Rhineland Palatinate AKA Rheinland-Pfalz) where Donald Trump's (Trumpf - original spelling means "drum) family is from (town called Kallstadt). 



Below is a map of Germany from 1871-1914 which includes showing the area of Nazi Germany (in dark blue which includes the Rhineland Palatinate and Hamburg) which is adjacent to two provinces of France (Alsace and Lorraine) (in yellow) which the Germans overtook several times and had to keep returning to France.  I have traced my personal German heritage to Alsace and Lorraine (only 1 hr to 2 hr drive from Strasbourg, France to Kallstadt, Germany).  Just a note of interest.
