INTERNATIONAL: BORDERLESS CUISINE:16 - CENTRAL EUROPE - Germany, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic
MAP OF CONTIGUOUS COUNTRIES:
Many countries bordering each other share some of the same cuisines. As you can see Germany is bordered by (in this post) Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic. Following are some foods shared by these countries:

I have included Hungarian goulash because the goulash recipe originated in Hungary.
Goulash can be made with beef, pork and other meats.

There are hundreds of pastries aka donuts in numerous countries with different names such as Kreppel, bombo, bombolone, krof, krafnu, pampushky, bobilha, becsi fank and these are just in certain sections of Central Europe.

Originating earlier in history this dish came to Austria. The breaded schnitzel is popular in many countries and made using either chicken, veal, mutton, beef, turkey or pork. It is very similar to the French dish escalope aka schnitzel escalope.

Saffron Risotto is a common dish from Ticino (which borders Italy), the southernmost canton of Switzerland.

NOTE: Alsace was taken over by Germany during 4 wars so there is a strong German influence in Alsace, France. And at the end of each battle the Germans had to return Alsace to France.
